Our 11th Retreat with Warriors Heart

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of Operation Song's 11th Retreat in partnership with Warriors Heart, in Bandera, Texas, dedicated to serving veterans and first responders. During this retreat, our team of talented Texas-based songwriters collaborated with six participants, resulting in the creation of seven inspiring songs highlighting themes of courage and determination.

A notable addition to our retreat was the participation of esteemed songwriter, producer, performer, and recording artist, Steven McClintock, who made his debut with Operation Song. McClintock's exceptional talent was evident as he efficiently completed his first song by 10:30 AM and dedicated the remainder of the day to crafting another masterpiece. Hear one of the songs, “On Our Journey,” below.

The dedication and skill of all our songwriters were evident in their ability to authentically capture the stories and experiences of the participants. First Responder Scott Merritt, who wrote the song “On Our Journey” with McClintock, expressed his gratitude, stating that the retreat provided a transformative experience surpassing any previous therapy.

We extend our sincere appreciation to The Journey Home Project for their generous funding, which enabled us to facilitate this impactful and meaningful retreat.
