Operation Song and North Country Troopers Assisting Troops present "Nashville's Salute to the Troops" honoring local veterans!

Join us on May 11th, 2023 for a night of great music and inspiring stories written with North Country's local veterans and performances by Nashville's hit songwriters. You won't want to miss it!

Nashville writers include Steve Williams ("Redneck Yacht Club" - Craig Morgan), Jamie Floyd (The Blade" - Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe), Skip Black ("Hello Goodbye" - Tyler Farr) & Jason Sever ("Seein' Red" - Dustin Lynch). Tickets include heavy hors d'oeuvres, drink tickets, meet & greet with the songwriters and participation in the live and silent auctions!

All proceeds benefit Operation Song and North Country Troopers Assisting Troops in their efforts to serve our Nation's heroes. See you there!

Skip Black

North Carolina native and 2018 CCMA Songwriter of the Year, Skip Black has been making waves in Nashville since 2007. Most recently, Black landed a #1 in Canada with Aaron Goodvin’s “Boy Like Me” which is now impacting US Radio stations. He also has Goodvin’s double platinum worldwide line dance sensation “Lonely Drum” which won him Songwriter of the Year at the CCMA’s in 2018. Skip has 3 cuts with Craig Morgan including his current single, “How You Make A Man,” impacting radio now as well as other notable cuts including

Steve Williams

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, moved to Nashville in 1995 and toured with such acts as Kenny Chesney, Tanya Tucker, Buddy Jewell, Deborah Allen and Sherrie’ Austin playing guitar, piano and adding vocals. As a songwriter Steve celebrated his first #1 hit with the song, “Redneck Yacht Club,” recorded by Craig Morgan. ASCAP called the song, “The summer song of 2005.” Soon after, he penned, “I Get To,” recorded by Blue County, which rose to #1 on the Christian country music charts. On his album Twang, Steve’s song, “Where Have I Been All My Life,” is heralded as George Straits most poignant song of his career. Bucky Covington took Steve’s song, “A Fathers Love ( The Only Way He Knew How)” to number 23 on the Billboard Charts as well. Steve also owns and operates Pier Pressure Music Publishing, and is co-owner of Redneck Yacht Club, LLC. Jamie Floyd

As a Nashville based, two time Grammy-nominated independent songwriter & recording artist, Jamie Floyd has written songs recorded by Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, Miranda Lambert, Ronnie Dunn, Sturgill Simpson, Ingrid Andress, Brian McKnight, Wrabel, Kalie Shorr, Ty Herndon, Ashley Monroe, Madi Diaz, Jake Hoot, Cassadee Pope, Hayden Panettiere, Kellie Picker, Lucie Silvas and more. Jamie’s launches her new single”I Never Want To See You Again,” a singable/danceable/cryable ‘country sad song in disguise’ on April 28th —and though it features her signature brutally honest lyrical style, it marks a new, fresh sound for Jamie (co-produced with her husband, Jimmy Thow, co-written with Jimmy & Madi Diaz), and it will be the first of 3 upcoming brand new singles, along with 3 brand new music videos!
